DATE & TIME: May 29, early evening
WARNINGS: None, except maybe uptight teacher
SUMMARY: Jennifer chose not to enjoy the holiday in La Salle, and instead remained on campus to enjoy the more quiet atmosphere. Aware that students and others will be returning soon, she has drifted out of her apartment to have dinner, nose in a book, and it is the perfect time to approach the law teacher for homework help, personal problems, or just to poke the bear, so to speak. The sky is the limit, and her bark is worse than her bite.
Dinner time. There was nothing she liked more than the sound of a soft breeze in the trees and the silence of a quiet afternoon almost finished. Jennifer tucked her book under her arm as she made her way across campus, her dark hair bound back only partially, leaving the other half to hang down her shoulders. A skirt and sweater, immaculately pressed, were as casual as she got when leaving her apartment, still determined to exude that air of authority even on a free holiday. She opened the book, the cover of the trashy romance novel covered in the dust jacket of a much dryer book, one on law ethics, the text of which was sitting on her coffee table at home.
Anyone seeing the uptight educator might have actually caught her with a smile on her face as she turned a page, lost in the story of a brave knight and a fair lady instead of the boring topic that the cover boasted. It made her face rather pleasant as she ignored the outside world.
