--never get used to these things... oh, there it is.
[It's a very energetic, brisk voice that cuts through the slight hiss of background sound. She's in her office, so it's not hard at all to hear her, but her accented voice is naturally strident and maybe a little loud. The accent is slightly hard to place, but anyone from the south of England-- specifically, Kent-- might recognize her intonation on certain words.]
Hello, student body. This is Miss Madison, your new high school-level physical education teacher. No, this isn't homework or anything-- I just wanted to let you all know about a slight... change in curriculum for the upcoming week. Instead of meeting inside, we'll be gathering on the football field-- you know, the one with the goals and the cones, not the American football field. Wear uniforms, please. We'll be starting out easy, learning the rules and play of football for the next week. On Friday, each period will play a mini-tourney. This will become a pattern for the first few weeks and different sports, so be prepared, hmm?
And don't bother trying to pick teams, please. I've already got the lists ready. I'll announce them once roll is called and we're settled. I'd also like to remind you that attendance is mandatory, even for students with alternative requirements. You'll check in with me, same as everyone else, and we'll discuss what you'll be doing if football isn't an option.
And of course, if you've any questions or sport suggestions, I am always ready to answer them-- here, or in my office, if you'd prefer.
