[It starts with Fuji eying a pokeball contemplatively. He gets up from his seat, apparently entirely unaware that the feed is running, and turns to the side as though addressing someone else in the room just beyond the scope of the video feed --]

I'd prefer to pick out my own racket, anyway. It's important to get one that's right for you.

If it doesn't drop it halfway there. I hope not, but you never know.

By the way, it seems like time is... different, here. Or rather, I've arrived at a different time of the year than I left. Is that true?

And it's true. Well, as true as it can be, at any rate. This place does weird things to time and it's not very apologetic. What month was it when you left?

When I left, it was August. It's much too cold here for that, unless the climate here is very different than Japan. What month is it here?

Maybe.]

It makes this kind of like a bit of a vacation outside of time.

Hmm, I think that was mentioned to me - at least, some of it. In a way, I suppose, it's relaxing. There's nothing at home that I need to worry about. Presumably, if I'm sent back I'll still arrive on time for practice. Which is very good - who know what nonsense they might get up to without me.

And, yes, well, with someone as interesting as Niou on your team, I can imagine that. Do you have any horror stories to share?
Reply
As his captain, I'm not at liberty to share any horror stories. [But oh, he has them. He has so many.] I can say that Niou is always very... entertaining.

[A laugh.] He is. Being in a different world doesn't necessarily change anything, but it does give us more opportunities to get to know people you otherwise wouldn't have thought of.

[Yukimura smiles slightly, eyeing Fuji.] You're right about that. To think we'd never really talked before, and you're so interesting. Considering that and your tennis skills, maybe I should try to recruit you.
