The last few days have been really fun.
Got Sunday off and had band practise in the afternoon. Reilly has come up with this elaborate band name, it's just so complicated. We want to be called LIONS. Yeah.
Practise went insanely well. One song is 90% done as well as several parts for a second song and one KILLER breakdown. It's so tough.
After practise Cody and Reilly stayed and we went to Sante Fe and had multiple slices of the best pizza ever. Then went to the show in Bradford at Almost Famous. On the way there I noticed Eric, the drummer from To Cherish and my dad proceeded to point to a mexican man on a bicycle and say "Oh, that guy?" T'was funny.
The show consisted of Nikola Tesla from Calgary, who were quite good, minus the singer. To Cherish, who in my mind were obvously tight but the songs seemed to be dragging and trudging along. But I can't blame them because their singer had some sort of vocal problem, and the drummer Eric rolled his foot bad skating before the show.
Next was Sawmill Valley, who played pretty good...although we missed half their set getting the WORST MCDONALDS EVER. Cody got this fry that was like brown and black inside. So Kylie gave us more fries...
Anyways, Sawmill ended with a part from The Year Summer Ended in June by Misery Signals, which was awesome.
Lastly, XLIFEXRUINERX totally ruined a good show. Fuck those guys...they really suck.
If I was the drummer and Johnny O.C. kicked my cymbal stand over, I'd have to drumstick fuck him. What a lard.
It was an OK show, better than sitting around here at home.
Yesterday and Today Ryan and I were at my cottage. We went mini-putting drinking Appletons Rum...and made it into a drinking game. Quite simple, whoever wins the hole has to gulp their drink. It worked...
We also took our drinks down to the beach, put them in plastic bottles and went out into the Bay with them...it was like our own pool bar.
We cooked burgers, and it started pouring rain. So we used an umbrella and a tarp when we wanted to flip them. They were delicious.
Ryan bought a PS2, which I might add has gotten fucking SMALL over the past two years. It's like 1/8 the size of the one's that originally came out. We played Grand Theft Auto/Metal Gear Solid and drank...good times.
Today we went swimming again, this time it was much more windy and wavy. We cut our feet off of the zebra mussels though so that sucked...
Got some DQ on the way home, hells yea.
Band Practise tomorrow.... LIONS...go rawr.
