tuesday night
i can't comment on the DNC because i didn't watch it but i wish i'd seen that pants suit!
kory and i were supposed to go see 'rushmore' at the mccarren pool summer screen. i packed us a picnic (in the glorious picnic basket we received from aaron and jay for our engagement). i had salami, goat cheese, cheddar, a baguette, sushi, pita chips, soy chips, potato salad, watermelon, wine, sweet tea for kory, hummus, yellow peppers. it was a glorious spread. while i was waiting for him to get home i checked their site to learn that not only do they not allow lawn chairs (which we had also packed). they also don't allow you to bring food or drinks but hot dogs and brooklyn beer are for sale inside. assholes.
so we ended up bringing a lamp and our goodies up to the roof and dined up there. i remarked that it was like having our own little living room outside beneath the stars. and kory said 'yeah, like in a trailer park.' or that.
it was wonderful. then we watched a little tv and called it a night.
