About twenty Nemesis soldiers attacked me as I headed to the nearby bakery for some cake. However, I was stronger and it did not take long for me to subdue them. But then Noah arrived, and I was so preoccupied with fighting him that I completely forgot he was not alone.
So here I was, kneeling on the ground as two soldiers held me in place, my arms restrained. I could easily get out, but Noah would catch up to me thanks to his super-speed. So I just stared at the man before me indifferently.
Noah knelt down on one knee, placing his hand on my head. He then looked at the soldiers behind me. “Did you put them on yet?”
Put what on? A man behind me replied, “No, sir.”
He let out a sigh and then whispered, “I’m sorry, Maddy.”
And then he began chanting and I stiffened when I realized he was using that spell. “You bastard, why are you-”
I never finished my sentence, because no sound entered my ears. Noah’s image faded until all I saw was black. I knew then that the spell had succeeded.
The Three Monkeys Curse. It robbed you of your sight, hearing, and speech.
I growled in my head. Forget it. I was escaping. I could take the soldiers easily, and I would take my chances, no matter how slim it was that I could outrun Noah. I breathed deeply, and the wind shifted. I was suddenly free, and I wasted no time as I dashed away. Even if I could not see, the wind happily guided me to HQ. I hoped I could get there in time to tell Avalon of my situation.

I blocked the sword with my staff, and used the wind to push him away, trying to run. However, he did not let up and attacked me again. I was evenly matched with him at my best, but I was at a serious disadvantage now.

I hit the cement wall and I let out a choked gasp at the pain. I could not bare to move. Everything hurt. I knew that a few ribs were cracked, my left leg was broken, and blood dripped down from my head. Avalon should have heard the fight by now and I hoped they had sent some people to investigate. I needed to stall for time somehow, but it was difficult when every twitch sent shocks of pain throughout my body.

My head hurt from the wind’s anger; they were not normally this loud and vocal. Noah knelt in front of me again but, when he reached for me, he was stopped by the wind barrier that had been erected without my say.

However, a minute later, I felt a hand brushing my hair from my face. So he managed to find a way around the barrier.

Wha-apology…? A brush of his lips against mine-we-are-sorry-child-sorry-the-chains-coming-communicate-no-more-sealed-goodbye-and then something snapped around my wrists.
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I laid there, frozen. What… He suppressed them. My powers. I could no longer hear them, the wind. Their murmurs were gone and now I have nothing.
For the first time in my life, I felt truly alone, vulnerable.
I began hyperventilating. I have always heard the wind; they were my friends, my family, my protectors, my strength. Why was Noah doing this? He could have let me go, let me escaped. There was no one around so he did not have to fight me. There was a breeze, the wind brushing against me as if trying to comfort me, but I could not tell what they were saying, what their intentions were. Someone lifted me up carefully, but I did not bother resisting. There was no point because I was helpless in this state.
“I don’t ever want to hurt you.”
“I would never go against you.”
“I love you.”
Lies, all lies. You liar, liar, liar.
I was an idiot to trust you.
