Okay, so time to reveal! I have NO iPhone. xP
The iPhone you saw in the previous post is actually a papercraft model taken from
Gizmodo (a great gadget blog!). That's how I "got" the iPhone a day early. xD A few people like Katou, Mar, Joe and others were in on the little prank, but I mostly kept it from a lot of people I know. I decided to make it on a lazy afternoon because I was bored out of my mind, but I went a little overboard and actually backed it up with some thin cardboard and taped the whole thing to make it look glossy and shiny. It was fun, anyway. So go ahead and make your own papercraft iPhone and show off to your friends.
So I guess Steven Colbert will beat me to getting an iPhone. Not that I really care. At least in Asia, iPhone technology has barely turned a head, mostly because none of the technology is new. The only thing the iPhone has managed to do is create a nifty and stylish interface for them. Even then, bulky phones tend not to sell too well in Asia. And actually here's a great
NYT article on the iPhone and what it means for Asian competitors. Personally, I'd never spend that kind of money on a phone. I draw the line at $400.
Finally, here's a "
Things You Should Know Before You Buy an iPhone" courtesy of the Giz. It's a great article about some of the downfalls of the iPhone. It's informative at the very least.
And a recipe for
Arroz con Grandules; my dinner tonight.
