You'll be shocked by how this never happened.

I just finished watching Mad Men and my mind is all a-flurry! Pete and Ken and Paul and Harry! And Roger and Cooper! And Joan and Helge! And SAL! And Don! I don't even know what the best part was: watching Pete pitch a hissy fit over his dual promotion with Ken, or watching Sal get it on with the bell boy. It was truly too much for me to handle for a moment there.
I was regretting not being able to watch any Lost tonight, but I can totally take going without after watching an ep of Mad Men. Soooo goooood.

In other news, I've been having a lot of vivid dreams. Maybe they're not vivid per se, but they feel more intense. I remember one time last week I dreamt I was a kitchen with Julian's mom and she was being nitpicky over this drink recipe I had once made, and I remember when I woke up, my first thought was simply "oh, thank god!" cuz she was working my nerve.

Another dream I had recently I was riding the bus, and Rigo's old roommate was riding it, but she got off early. She realized this the moment the bus drove away, so she ran to get back on it. The bus driver wouldn't stop, so she had to keep running. Somehow she was able to keep pace with the bus. Eventually she caught up with this irl non-existent window by the front of the bus and hopped up and climbed through. The bus was going really fast, too. Her legs were moving like the road runner.

Last night's was pretty ridiculous. For some reason I was a guest on the Colbert Report. I must have been backstage listening to him introduce me. He referred to me as "Tama-lama-ding-dong," a name that Esha and James would sometimes call me, and I thought to myself "I need to record that for later." For some reason the set was totally different. It was instead like a small school stage. His desk was all the way at stage right, and it was like some old teacher's desk. The guest's seat was next to it, it was an overstuffed black leather chair. I'm pretty certin there was a blackboard behind it. And the stage and the walls were made of this brown wood that I can't relate an irl name to.
I came out and sat down in the chair, and for some reason I like, slipped forward in the seat. It caused me throw my legs straight out. Stephen just says casually, "usually guests just take their panties off," implying that my nearly sliding out of the seat was due to the sheer excitement of seeing him. And then for some reason I need to get up and show him something and we end up poking around this one part of the set, idk why. That bit about the panties is the best part anyway. "That's gold, Jerry! Gold!"

Speaking of which: I bet I could name everything there if the pic was bigger.

As for how my life actually went today outside of TV shows and dreams, we had a going away dining out for Susanna. She's going to BU for an M.A. in Public Health. She once was dating this guy, and he said something about how he thinks homeless people choose to be that way, and she was just like, "UH, DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT I'M GOING TO GRAD SCHOOL FOR?"
Anyway, it was at Bimbo's Cantina, which is an awesome place. I had two margaritas and a delicious burrito and everything was right with the world. And I did miss my bus home by 3 minutes and ended up having to wait another 30, but at least the weather was fantastic and my mp3 player didn't die. And I talked to Rigo a bit, which was fun, because we hadn't talked since the graduation party when I was piss drunk most of the time anyway. Now we have to do that sometimes adult thing where we catch up on each other's lives, as I may very well be doing AmeriCorps again (I'm good at these sorts of quick decisions) and it sounds like he has a girl in his life.

links, dreams
