This evening around 6:30pm I was coming home from eating dinner at Logan's Restaurant with Matt and I was approaching the light at Ashton and Sudley Manor when Costco is on your left. I was almost to a complete stop when the light turned green and as all of this was happening a white woman probably mid-20s with shoulder-length dirty blond hair comes running around the corner to my right with shoes in hand. About 15 feet behind her is this black man in black sweats taking long, quick strides looking at her. She came running around the corner and began tapping on people's windows with the same hand that was holding her slip-on shoes apparently inhibiting her ability to run as fast as she'd like to. She didn't get a chance to tap on my window because the light had turned green once I got there, but she'd gone to at least three cars ahead of me and not a single person would so much as roll down their window for her to ask if she was alright. I didn't put everything together in time to think that I should say fuck what the traffic light says and stay put to see if she was okay, so I began moving with traffic through the intersection. As soon as I got the chance, though, I made a quick u-turn to see if I could find her and by the time I'd gotten back there (less than a minute) she was out of sight and he was crossing the street toward Costco. Once I got to turn around again I decided to take a left onto Ashton and see where he was going. The next time I saw the man he had changed his outfit already. He must have had it planned. He was wearing black sweats when I first saw him and they had turned into blue sweats by the next time I saw him... I tried calling the non-emergency police number and report the information just in case the woman had filed a report so that I could be a witness if she chose to take any action against him but every time I tried to speak the operator grew irritated and asked me if I could hold on a minute. I went through that three times and finally decided to hang up but now I'd like to say this: if anyone has heard about or had seen this event today please contact me. I'd like to know if the woman is okay... If anyone that you know mentions a story close to this please let me know. I'm so worried for her.
