I'm a bit worried about engelina, since I haven't heard or seen her about the interwebs for over a week. I know rl is kicking her pretty hard atm though, so please direct any AFFA-related feedback to me for the time being, as eng has more than enough on her plate to deal with right now.
Unfortunately I can't publish the results like we usually do until engelina is back in the game. And frankly, I wouldn't want to until she has had a chance to double-check everything as I believe that is only fair to everyone involved. However, I also don't want to leave everyone hanging, so here's a sneak peak at a rough draft of the results. I say rough draft as this is the document I have put together after counting the votes myself. Therefore these results have not yet been verified by a second person and may contain errors, thus the official results may vary from this! Please don't lynch me if they do, I'm only human and just trying to make the best of a bad situation! This is a public post so feel free to direct anyone who was involved/interested in the comp here to check it out if you wish. But I will not post an advertisment to the host sites until the official results are available on the AFFA site, all officially-like.

Here are the results of the 2010 Adult Fan Fiction Awards!
Before we get to the good stuff, please note;
Where it has occurred that two works have received an equal number of votes, they are considered ‘tied’ and share equally in the placement. Where 1st, 2nd or 3rd placements are tied, all of the works in that particular placement will receive a certificate in due course.
Please remember; ONLY those works that have gained either a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place will receive an award certificate. Where authors/artists have gained multiple eligible awards, a separate certificate will be issued for each award. The AFFA Staff can give no set date for the issue of certificates. No certificate will be issued until ALL are ready for delivery. This could well take a fair amount of time as it does involve a lot of work, please be patient. We will produce the certificates as quickly as we can; an advertisement will be posted to each of the AFFA Hosts Sites just as soon as they are available.

Remember; this competition takes into account a wide and varied range of participants and works. Not everyone likes the same things, thinks the same way or votes for the same reasons. Therefore, if your work did not rate as highly as you hoped please don’t take it as a slight against you personally or the quality of your work. The day you created a piece that you were happy and proud enough of to share with our fandom community, you won.
A few points to consider, that may or may not help if you are feeling a little down if your own, or your favourite, work did not fare as well as you had hoped. Or if you just have an interest in random factoids;
69 separate works were nominated and accepted into the AFFA competition this year, from 31 different authors/artists.
9 people submitted valid nominations. Of those none nominated works for all 22 categories. However, 7 of those 9 took advantage of the option to nominate two works, in at least one category. The most number of nominations in any one submission was 30 (out of a possible 44). The least number of nominations in any one submission was 1.
24 people submitted valid voting ballots, 11 of those submitted votes for works in all 22 categories. Every category received at least one ‘No Vote’ submission. The least number of votes submitted on any one ballot was 3.
