I want to get a Hawai'i phone! I love my ghetto brick of a 6-year-old Nokia but I want to get a phone here so I have a Hawai'i cell phone for one but also so I can fuck around on it during my boring classes. The thing is that I know fuck all about cell phones and phone plans so I figured I needed to ask the interbutts.
If I'm gonna get a fancy phone I want to have the following: Web browsing, e-mail, MSN and AIM, Bluetooth (apparently my netbook can use Bluetooth-enabled phones to get online but I'm not sure how), and a GPS. The Sidekick LX has these for $175 and IT COMES IN PURPLE YAY. I've kinda wanted a Sidekick ever since they first came out, so the fact that this one happens to do everything I want is sweet. Anyone heard anything good or bad about this particular phone?
I can get the same sweet My Faves plan from TMobile that my boyfriend has. It's $40 a month for 300 minutes and unlimited calls to the five numbers of your choice. There are no charges for roaming or long distance. Yay.
The problem? To use all the spifty features on the Sidekick LX you have to get a web service which is $25 a month. Plus the phone plan that's $65 a month. That seems like a lot :/ Any comments from anyone on this? Can I possibly get a better deal by getting a more basic phone or with another phone company or something?
