Halloween Costume
Sooo I decided that I'm going to be Alice in Wonderland for Halloween :D This'll be great, it'll be only the second Halloween I've gotten to dress up for in the last five years :D Last time I was Sadako. I'd do that again but all my hair is cut off, so Alice for me!
The trouble is that I'm having a hard time finding an Alice costume that isn't A) a sexy outfit or B) for a little kid or C) just kind of shitty. I was going to go the easy route and just guy a pre-made one (something I've actually never done before) but apparently that's not so easy. Then I thought, I should be a Lolita Alice! That would be AWESOME!
Now I can't find any suitable Lolita skirts/dresses. I want to do the pale blue with white apron bit like from the Disney movie (otherwise no one will recognize wtf I'm supposed to be) and I can't seem to find any blue Loli dresses. I'm scrolling through my usual websites (Cosmates, Metamorphose, Closet Child) but so far nothing. Hopefully there will be one somewhere on Closet Child, I haven't checked it very thoroughly yet.
And I know, going Loli is gonna be one hell of a pricey Halloween costume. But hell, then it can be my backup forever. And also a party dress. :D
If anyone can suggest a good place to look for this kind of stuff, let me know! My schoolgirl/Loli kick already has me lots of white socks and black mary janes, and I know where I can get a frilly white apron (although it's expensive, so suggestions there are also good) I just need a blue dress or a blue jumper skirt that I can put a white shirt under. Then I can go to a craft store and get a hair ribbon and VOILA! I will be so cute :D
I would do a sexy Alice with a mini skirt and a big petticoat, but I'm probably going to volunteer to help out with the Big Brothers Big Sisters Halloween party, so sexy costumes = no.
I WILL get that slutty Bo Peep costume one day, though. One day...

This looks like it's supposed to be a sexy costume, but actually I think it would make a pretty nice Alice dress... Sans the funny headpiece, that is. And it's cheaper than most of the other Alice costumes I've seen!
