Saw There Will Be Blood There Really Wasn't That Much Blood, it was pretty freaking sweet. I can't believe they fucked Jonny Greenwood out of an Oscar for that one. Bastards. Instead of being freaky, ol' DDL was actually pretty funny to me because I've been reading American Psycho. I heard he got to be scary crazy by the end, but I'm not bothered because of that damn book. Last murder in American Psycho: Bateman nailed a girl to the floor by her hands, tried to chew off her fingers, covered her face repeatedly with mace, stabbed the hell out of her, and cut out her tongue. And of course she's still alive at the end of that, they don't really mention how he kills her but later her bones and her organs are separate from the rest of her. So yeah, There Will Be Blood? Not too freaky right now.
Oh, and a belated TOLD YOU SO to my Clinton-loving friends. Haven't been near a computer enough to gloat at the few of you I argued with before, but rest assured I have been. Obamarama motherfuckers.
Also saw Sex and the City at my boyfriend's request-- NO REALLY, HE WANTED TO GO SEE IT. He apparently really liked the TV show. Yes, you may all tilt your heads and go buhhhh? Because I did. Anyway it was pretty good except SWEET JESUS CHRIST WHO DID THE WARDROBE FOR THAT FUCKING MOVIE. I did not see one single solitary outfit worn by any of them that wasn't either hideous or extremely ill-fitting. Especially that fashion week dress, what WAS that? It looked like she killed Big Bird and made a god damn tutu out of him. Jesus Palomino. Oh and also, Americans? The water in Mexico won't kill you. Honestly. Any five star resort is going to have treated water even if they're in an area where people don't like the tap water, so it will still be safe. Not to mention the contaminated water in Mexico is almost exclusively in extremely urban areas where industrial chemicals may have leaked into the city's water supply-- NOT at an oceanside resort. But nice try.
Jennifer Hudson was the best dressed/best looking person in the movie, honestly.
