Had I been alone watching the ep, I would probably have cried.
ROLO ;_;
He was bound to die, I knew it, we all knew it, but it was nevertheless heartbreaking - first the cruel way Lelouch threw him out, then his sacrifice.
Susaku seems definitely broken now - unlike Lelouch, who remains the same as before despite all the loss he's gone through.
Lelouch never looks back. That's what ultimately differentiates him from Suzaku, and what makes him stronger in the end. He can afford emotions, because they only cloud his rational judgment for moments - Nunally's death ? he's over it in a couple of hours, which is A LOT for him, considering he could smile to Rolo mere minutes after Shirley's death. By the time he's facing the rebelling Black Knights he's regained his composure, and does what is necessary to save Kallen's life.
I've read people complaining about the fact he forgives Rolo, and say it's OOC. I do not think so : Lelouch lives in the present, and one of his main qualities is that he's able to quickly adapt his thought patterns to the present situation. So he sees Rolo's sacrifice as it is, without any previous impressions interfering. And he's moved because nobody has ever done such a thing for him on his own will.
