I'll try on the word puzzle. Why Kou's not in shock or otherwise because of the injuries? He might not actually be injured at all. Mind controls or personality alterations aren't impossible, especially if Vadermon's involved. And as for Vadermon's motivations for for kidnapping Kou, if he is the kidnapper, I think we can probably add revenge to that list.

....y'know, now that I think about it, considering our mysterious poster was talking to Ryo, the puzzle might be in French. Or not, but just tossing that out there.

I was working off the Doctor's conclusion that it was Jeremy, hence the English; in any case it doesn't quite work in Japanese considering most words end in vowels.

Tried it. K's very, very rare in French, and not a lot of words end in M. Besides, we don't seem to have that many French speakers here.

Vadermon does not have the ability to control minds or alter personalities, merely to wipe the mind and mold it. He wouldn't have the power to make Kou regain emotion. Only way he could do that would be by returning his heart.

Maybe this "Jeremy" that Vadermon could be working with has some ability to control minds? Frightening as it is to say, it would be easy after Vadermon has wiped it.
