For the past week i have had a huge dilemma....
A. accept the offer of Area Manager and move to the eastern suburbs within the next 2 weeks.
B. stay put where I am and wait for a position to pop up out west, god knows when.
The positives:
A = car, petrol, laptop, phone, payrise by about 10k, a huge challenge.
B = stay close to family, friends, new house being built soon, perfect lifestyle.
The negatives:
A = all the stores out that way are supposedly fukt. I'd be distant from all. I could commute from Hillside every day, but spend double the amount of time on the road, which in turn means more hours spent working.
B = miss out on all the perks of being a DM until an indefinte time. The opportunity, which I have been in training for, may not come around again for months or even years.
So do you see my frustration? I've been losing heaps of sleep over it.
I think at the end of the day I have to remember my life priorities.
1. My health.
2. My Family/Friends.
3. Work.
If only I had a guarantee that a western position was mine when it became available. It would make my decision easy.
I'll update when I decide. Any suggestions are most welcome!
