Here you'll find all sorts of Kamei Eri stuff. Why? Why not. I'm collecting together as much stuff as I can. Albums, singles, photobooks, PVs, etc etc. Most of this stuff is ripped/scanned/whatever by me, I'll make note of it if it isn't. As such, please don't claim anything as your own. Thanks.
Please comment if taking anything!

10. HELP!! - 2:28
11. SHIP! TO THE FUTURE - 3:33
2 (Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari 2) - 5:08
Thoughts: Not my favourite album, but Kamei's first proper one with the group. Highlights include Chokkan (later to be ripped off for a single), Sukiyaki (which has to win my crack award of the year) and Dokusenyoku, which is so sexy and angry that I highly recommend everyone to give it a go. Most of the album is very happy and genki, pretty much what you'd expect from Momusu. Kamei sings on all songs except Haru no Uta.

(Osaka Koi no Uta) - 4:13
5. INDIGO BLUE LOVE - 3:41
(Rainbow Pink) - 4:25
(Iroppoi Jirettai) - 4:19
(Mushoku Toumei na Mama de) - 5:30
(Purple Wind) - 4:09
10. さよなら SEE YOU AGAIN アディオス BYE BYE チャッチャ! (Sayonara SEE YOU AGAIN Adios BYE BYE Chaccha!) - 4:05
(Chokkan 2 ~Nogashita Sakana wa Ookiizo!~ (Mattaku Sono Toori Remix)) - 3:35
3 (Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari 3) - 4:32
Thoughts: Quite a few of my favourite songs are on this one, so I love it. Joshi comes back for what seems like the 500th time, as does Chokkan (revamped, and I think better this time around, although definitely grab the single version of it rather than the album one). The highlight has to be Indigo Blue Love, which features only Kamei, Gaki and Reina and is quite dark and sexy. Kamei sings on all songs except Rainbow Pink and Mushoku Toumei na Mama de.
2 (Best! Morning Musume 2)
1. Go Girl~恋のヴィクトリー~ (Go Girl ~Koi no Victory~)
2. Do it! Now
(Koko ni Iruzee!)
IT'S ALL RIGHT (Ai Araba It's All Right)
(The Peace!)
6. Mr.Moonlight ~愛のビッグバンド~ (Mr. Moonlight ~Ai no Big Band~)
(Shabondama)
We're ALIVE (Souda! We're Alive)
9. AS FOR ONE DAY
(Morning Musume no Hyokkori Hyoutanjima)
(Dekkai Uchuu ni Ai ga Aru) (c/w of The Peace!)
12. YAH! (YAH! Aishitai)
Thoughts: What you'd expect from a Best Of album. A lot of old popular singles compiled together. There's one new song however, YAH! Aishitai, which happens to feature Kamei, so it's not all reused. But this really is an excellent collection of songs to begin with, so it's very worth it.
(Ribbon no Kishi: The Musical)
1. Mystery of Life (ALL)
2. GOD (Kaoru)
(Takahashi, Niigaki, Kamei, Michishige, Tanaka, Miyoshi, Okada)
(Ishikawa)
(Yoshizawa, Fujimoto)
(Takahashi)
(Biyuuden)
(Ishikawa, Niigaki, Kamei)
(Michishige, Tanaka, Yoshizawa, Ogawa, Kusumi)
(All minus Biyuuden)
(All)
(Abe)
(Matsuura)
Thoughts: Released before the musical even started, it gives us an idea of what to expect. And well, it's a musical. Big theatre voices, show stopping tunes, the whole shebang. Kamei only features kind of briefly on a few of the songs, but we do get to hear her doing theatrical singing, which she's quite good at. Aside from Kamei, Takahashi and Matsuura's solo songs are fantastic. Give it a try.
MEGAUPLOAD Singles
(Shabondama) (not my rip)
(Shabondama)
(Namida ni wa Shitakunai) (English: I Don't Want This to Cause Tears)
(Instrumental)
Thoughts: Kamei's debut single, and one of my all time favourites. She doesn't get a lot of lines in this song (Reina owns this one), but this song is awesome all over. Angry and pouty and rocky and just all around fantastic. Plus the PV owns all. The b-side is okay. Nothing terribly special.
(Hare Ame Nochi Suki)
(Hare Ame Nochi Suki)
Version) (Dekkai Uchuu ni Ai ga Aru (Morning Musume Sakuragumi Version))
(Instrumental)
Thoughts: I adore this song. It took me a bit to get used to it, but it's just gorgeous. Slow, beautiful voices, heartfelt. Plus I'll always remember Takahashi and Gaki crying while singing this live. That's something that sticks with you. This is officially Kamei's second single, although it's with Sakura Gumi. The b-side is entirely opposite, more upbeat and traditionally Momusu. It's a cover of an old b-side from The Peace single.
MEGAUPLOAD Go Girl~恋のヴィクトリー~ (Go Girl ~Koi no Victory~)
1. Go Girl ~恋のヴィクトリー~ (Go Girl ~Koi no Victory~)
2. 恋ING (Koi ING) (English: Loving)
Thoughts: Genki song. Terribly catch chorus that you'll find yourself singing at random points of the day. The b-side song is almost entirely Takahashi, Kamei and Miki, so definitely give it a listen. A little slower, kind of sad love song, but beautiful.
IT'S ALL RIGHT (Ai Araba IT'S ALL RIGHT) (not my rip)
IT'S ALL RIGHT (Ai Araba IT'S ALL RIGHT)
(Dekiru Onna) (English: Able Girl)
IT'S ALL RIGHT (Instrumental)
Thoughts: This song is so happy it makes me sick. Really. It's just happy and cute and "yay life!" all over. Guh. The b-side is quite cool, a little different to the usual Momusu affair. Almost a little... jazz? Maybe. Not really. Difficult to describe. Just listen to it. It rocks.
(Sakura Mankai)
(Sakura Mankai)
2. 抱いてHOLD ON ME! さくら組 Version) (Daite HOLD ON ME! (Morning Musume Sakura Gumi Version))
3. Say Yeah! ~Motto Miracle Night~ (Morning Musume Sakura Gumi Version))
(Instrumental) (Sakura Mankai (instrumental))
Thoughts: This is missing the instrumental, sorry. If anyone's really after it let me know and I'll add it. Anyway this has to be the most traditionally Japanese song I've ever heard. Pretty much what you'd expect from Sakura Gumi anyway. Another slow paced love song, but not quite as sad or beautiful as Hare Ame Nochi Suki. The beat just screams "traditional Japan!" and I almost want to wear a kimono and beat a sakura tree. Daite HOLD ON ME! is another cover of an old Momusu song, and is quite upbeat and dancy (I quite like this one), and Say Yeah! is also a cover and is much in the same vein. The music seems very Nintendo actually. I feel like playing Kirby or Bomberman...
MEGAUPLOAD 浪漫~MY DEAR BOY~ (Roman ~MY DEAR BOY~)
MY DEAR BOY~
(Fine Emotion!)
MY DEAR BOY~ (Instrumental)
Thoughts: I love this song. The girls get to try at being all hardcore and it's fantastic. Very dancy and rock out. Not a huge fan of the b-side though. It seems almost kind of country with a pop beat O.o Although I'm sure I've heard it, or at least the beat, on Hello! Morning before. It sounds terribly familiar.
(Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari)
(Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari) - 6:00
(Ganbare Nippon Soccer Fight!) (English: Good Luck, Japan Soccer, Fight!) - 4:04
(Instrumental) - 5:58
Thoughts: This was the crack that started it all for me. A great introduction to the girls if you understand Japanese, if not, just enjoy the crack. Because that's all it is. Pure, grade A crack. The b-side is strange. As you can tell from the title I'm sure. It pretty much lives up to its name. It's something you'd hear at half time at a sports game to try rev up the crowd and install some national pride. Huh.
(Namida ga Tomaranai Houkago)
(Namida ga Tomaranai Houkago)
(Nebou desu. Date na no ni...) (English: I Slept In. Even Though I Have a Date...)
(Instrumental)
Thoughts: Ugh. Probably my least favourite Momusu single. Why, why for the love of god is Sayu a lead?! It's painful. The song is very different to the rest of Momusu's singles. A lot slower and less dance. Has pretty much become Konno's solo sing since release. It's difficult to describe, but I could almost go to sleep listening to this one. The b-side isn't really much better either. Look at the title...
(The Manpower!!!)
(The Manpower!!!)
(Love & Peace! HERO ga Yattekita.)
(Instrumental)
Thoughts: The Manpower!!! owns everyone and you know it. This song is probably best seen with the PV first (because OMFG), but the song still rocks. As a friend pointed out, it's also very Nintendo at times. Haha. Will probably drive some people nuts as it's a little repetative, but damn I love it. Possibly my favourite Momusu song. I've also become quite fond of the b-side. I didn't even realise it, but I've heard this song at concerts a hell of a lot. It feels old school Momusu. Very rocky and upbeat.
(Osaka Koi no Uta)
(Osaka Koi no Uta)
2. NATURE IS GOOD!
(Instrumental)
Thoughts: Sung entirely in Osaka-ben, which probably means diddly squat to you if you don't understand Japanese anyway. But it does give the song an entirely different feel. I really, really love this one. It's another dark and sexy song, and very, very dancy at the same time. Even if you don't understand Japanese you should be able to pick out the difference in the language used just by listening to it compared to their other songs. The b-side is really, really strange. The title pretty much gives that away. Haha. But I remember hearing this music on Maido Arii all the time (hosted by Kamei) so it's growing on me. Damn the crack.
(Iroppoi Jirettai) (not my rip)
(Iroppoi Jirettai)
(Ai to Taiyou ni Tsutsumarete)
(Instrumental)
Thoughts: Another of my favourite Momusu singles. Kamei gets a bigger role in this one (well, a little), but it's just sexy all over. Has a very Spanish feel to it, played up in the dance. The b-side is entirely different. Still a bit of a Spanish feel, but a lot slower and calmer. Meh. It's alright.
(Chokkan 2 ~Nogashita Sakana wa Ookiizo!)
Do The Hustle! (Koi wa Hassou Do The Hustle!)
(Chokkan 2 ~Nogashita Sakana wa Ookiizo! (Instrumental))
Thoughts: A rip off of Chokkan from the 6th album. Basically entirely the same but with some new verses and solo lines. Hard to really notice the difference :p But Kamei gets a solo line in this one, and it's longer, so I prefer this version. Probably one of the most upbeat Momusu songs, which is quite a feat. It's impossible not to dance along with this one. Also has, I think, the strongest b-side song, and one of the least subtle as well (go read the lyrics, you'll see what I mean). Kamei features quite a bit on Koi wa Hussou, so give it a go. It was originally meant to be the single released (with Chokkan 2 as the b-side) but for some reason they got switched. Koi wa Hussou probably would have done better to be honest.
(Chance Chance Boogie) - 2:50
Thoughts: Terrifying PV, brilliant song. Simplicity is the name of the game here. You'll find yourself singing "sekushii, ue ue!" in no time. Another terribly dancy song, but this one owns over all the others. Not a big fan of the b-side though.
MEGAUPLOAD Ambitious! (Ambitious! Yashinteki de Ii Jan)
1. Ambitious! (Ambitious! Yashinteki de Ii Jan)
(Watashi ga Tsuiteru.)
3. Ambitious! (Instrumental) (Ambitious! Yashinteki de Ii Jan (Instrumental))
Thoughts: Momusu's 30th single! The first time I heard this, I thought Hinoi Team. If that tells you anything. It's like Japanese-Euro Dance on crack. Continuing the trend of Sexy Boy really. But damn it's a fun song, and it instantly became a favourite. Plus Kamei has finally moved up in the ranks and is one of the lead girls. For that alone you should download this. The B-side isn't one of my favourite though.
MEGAUPLOAD Fanclub Specials
Kamei Eri, Tanaka Reina, Michishige Sayumi - Do It! Now
Thoughts: The 6th Gen version of Do It! Now, from when everyone and their dog was doing a version of this song. Being that there's only three girls Kamei gets a lot of solo lines, and it's an awesome song to begin with, so download it.
MEGAUPLOAD Kamei Eri, Ogawa Makoto - Dounikashite Douyoubi
Thoughts: I'm not the hugest fan of this song, but it's not bad either. It's terribly cute and boppy but it's just a little strange. I'm not sure. Maybe it's the saxophones or something in the background. Still, if you actually want to hear Kamei's voice, she's one of only two singers here.
MEGAUPLOAD Kamei Eri, Ogawa Makoto, Yoshizawa Hitomi - Mirai no Tobira
Thoughts: Very similar to the above song I feel, but with Yossie. Also gets the win for some of the best Jinglish ever. Not much else to say really. If you like the above song, you'll probably like this one. Kamei does have a cute "Iya daa..." about half way through the song though, which almost saves it.
MEGAUPLOAD Lives
Kamei Eri, Tanaka Reina, Niigaki Risa - Indigo Blue Love
Thoughts: My all time favourite Momusu song, sung by three of my top four girls. It's dark, it's sexy, the dance borders very close to porn at times. How can you not love it? This is only the clip of the song from the Rainbow 7 tour, because it's essentially exactly the same as the album version. Download this right now. Don't even wait.
MEGAUPLOAD [clip] Kamei Eri - 100kai no Kiss
Thoughts: From Hello! Pro Hour #07. Kamei's version of Matsuura Aya's 100kai no Kiss. Absolutely beautiful, and shows off her voice like no other song to date. She displays a lot more range and control over her voice than we're used to. Made even better by the fact it's live.
MEGAUPLOAD [mp3] |
MEGAUPLOAD [clip] Morning Musume - Osaka Koi no Uta
Thoughts: This has always been one of my favourite songs, and it got even better when Kamei was given Rika's lines after her graduation. Yes, that means Kamei moves up to the top three of this song, and it's a fantastic performance. We get to see the Koi ING trio of Takahashi, Kamei and Miki reunite for this version.
MEGAUPLOAD Hello! Project - Special Generation
Thoughts: A hell of a lot of people sing on this song, but Kamei is the lead, and her voice is very effective for this kind of song. Yeah, it's a Berryz song, but what can you do? Kamei owns all over it, and it's quite catchy. Give it a go.
MEGAUPLOAD Kamei Eri, Takahashi Ai, Tanaka Reina - Last Kiss
Thoughts: A cover of Tanpopo's song, and also one of my alltime favourites. Yes I died when this song came on, my three favourite girls singing one of my alltime favourite songs. Listen to it. Right now. Why are you still here?
MEGAUPLOAD [mp3] |
MEGAUPLOAD [clip] Morning Musume - Koi no Shihatsu Ressha
Thoughts: Sung by half the band, including Kamei (who gets a few solo lines). From Koharu's welcome concert, the clip includes the lovely Koi wa Hassou outfit. The song itself is okay, but as usual, not really my favourite style of Momusu song (being that it's an early song).
MEGAUPLOAD [mp3] |
MEGAUPLOAD [clip] Kamei Eri - Nanni mo Iwazu ni (not my rip)
Thoughts: Kamei's first truly solo song, from the Hong Kong fanclub tour in 2005. A very slow, romantic kind of song. Kamei's voice isn't at her strongest here, she struggles in a few places. But it's still a lovely song.
MEGAUPLOAD [mp3] |
MEGAUPLOAD [clip] Kamei Eri, Kago Ai - Koi no Telephone GOAL
Thoughts: Kamei's second try at Koi no Telephone GOAL, this time at Kaori's graduation concert and with Kago Ai in tow. Essentially exactly the same as the one below, only, with Kago.
MEGAUPLOAD [mp3] |
MEGAUPLOAD [clip] Kamei Eri, Tanaka Reina, Ogawa Makoto - Ii Koto Aru Kinen no Shunkan
Thoughts: I'm not a huge fan of this song, because I'm not a fan of this style of Momusu song in general. From one of the earlier albums, it's very happy and cheesy and just... there's nothing that special about it. Even with the holy duo of Kamei and Reina there.
MEGAUPLOAD Kamei Eri, Ishikawa Rika, Fujimoto Miki, Konno Asami - Morning Coffee
Thoughts: Morning Coffee from Ishikawa's graduation concert. The first, the original, now you can listen to Kamei singing it.
MEGAUPLOAD Morning Musume - Koi ING
Thoughts: Don't be fooled by the title; this is sung entirely by Takahashi, Miki and Kamei, and was her first (and until Indigo Blue Love, only) lead. Very big and melodramatic song, very beautiful. By far one of the best b-sides Momusu has ever released. This is from the Best of Japan Natsu-Aki '04 tour.
MEGAUPLOAD [mp3] |
MEGAUPLOAD [clip] Kamei Eri - Koi no Telephone GOAL
Thoughts: This song is absolutely, utterly adorable. Kamei owns all over it. Originally a Nacchi song, Kamei sings this version at the Akagumi concert, briefly with Ishikawa Rika at the start before Kamei takes over solo. Essentially her first solo song folks.
MEGAUPLOAD [mp3] |
MEGAUPLOAD [clip] MCs
Hello! Project Winter '05 - MC-4
Thoughts: Kamei appears with Kago and Makoto and they briefly (very briefly, only two minutes) chat about the concert. Not terribly interesting, but Kago is amusing.
MEGAUPLOAD Best of Japan Natsu-Aki '04 - MC-4
Thoughts: Probably one of the easiest MCs to understand if you have any Japanese knowledge. Kamei, Rika, Konno and Ogawa come out (singing a spoof on Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari a few times) and talk about food and drinks for about five minutes. Kamei's "One, two, three" is impossibly adorable, and she pokes quite a bit of fun at her senpai's as well.
MEGAUPLOAD Interviews
Hoshisuna no Shima, Watashi no Shima
Thoughts: Sixth gen interview with the girls talking about the above titled movie that they starred in. They talk about the challenges of filming, feeling embarrassed, feeling that they weren't up to standard and such. A cute interview with the three girls.
MEGAUPLOAD Photobooks
Kamei Eri Picture Archive Kamei Eri - 1st Photobook (not my scans)
Thoughts: Kamei's first photobook. She's quite young, only 15/16 years old. Has the usual Momusu staple of bikini and high school uniform shots. Also features Kamei at home, and Kamei at kendo, as well as time at the park. There's a lot of gorgeous pictures in here, particularly the ones of Kamei with the blow up turtle at the beach. Enjoy it, this is the last book she'll have long dark hair for.
MEGAUPLOAD Kamei Eri - Days (not my scans)
Thoughts: Kamei's second photobook. I think it's an improvement on her first one, but they're very different in style. The usual bikini and high school shots are there, but Kamei's a lot more grown up this time around. There's more variety in the outfits and shots, and she really seems to be having a lot more fun with this one. Maybe of note is that she's out of the traditional Japanese high school uniform here. This is more of a Western styled, sporty-type one. You can see her growing up with this one as well.
MEGAUPLOAD Kamei Eri - 17sai
Thoughts: Kamei's third and most recent photobook. Again we've got bikini pics and high school uniforms, but again it's not the traditional Japanese one. There's also a cheerleader set, and Kamei at home and out and about. Shot in Hawaii it's certainly got a nice look, but I find some of the angles and shots a little... dull maybe. But Kamei is absolutely gorgeous, you can see how much she's grown recently. Plus her hair is a little longer than before, which is always nice.
MEGAUPLOAD Kamei Eri - Digital Photobooks #01
Thoughts: Kamei's digital photobook, which could be downloaded from the official site. Over 100 outtakes from Kamei's first photobook. Different shots, different angles, etc etc. All nice high quality.
MEGAUPLOAD 6th Gen - Hello x 2 (not my scans)
Thoughts: Kamei's first photobook with the other sixth generation members. They are incredibly, incredibly young here; only 13 and 14. It shows, and it seems kinda strange to see so many bikini shots in there. Reina especially looks incredibly young. But Kamei is her gorgeous young self, and there's a variety of shots and outfits there. See the girls while they really were jailbait.
MEGAUPLOAD Sakura Gumi - Alo-Hello! (not my scans)
Thoughts: Joint Alo-Hello book for both Sakura Gumi and Otome Gumi, shot in Hawaii. Each girl gets their own section of (bikini) photos and there are also a bunch of group shots as well. Kamei's young and cute in this one. Still maybe only 14 or 15 years old.
