I am a corpse
Well...no not really, but it's the first chapter of the new book I'm reading:
My Name is Red by Orhan Pamuk (Turkish).
I've been trying to read it for...oh say 4 months? I'm not slow. Anyways, the first thing that struck me was that though this is an unusual way to start a book (with a dead person speaking to you), it was not the first book I've ever read that started that way (The Lovely Bones). The second thing was that all the chapters are titled like " I am...blank" a la Fight Club's "I am Jack's something or other." The final thing that hit me was that I think too much in Pop culture references and need to get a life.
