Two Fridays ago, while I was driving to work, I heard on OPB that Obama was going to be speaking in Bend, OR. Quick like, I called Michelle and we decided that we were trying to get in. I know that some of you live in the greater Minneapolis area. Those of you who miss THIS CONCERT are going to regret it. Jorja's playing is electric, and the Elgar is an underplayed, spectacularly intimate masterpiece. Get in by any means possible.

Just in case not all of you got the news, Michelle and I are moving to Bend in the next month. I'm working for the PD there for a lot more money, and it's a really beautiful place. We're sad to move away from our friends here; it was a tough decision and there were some tears, but we're starting to get excited again ( Read more... )

This weekend, Michelle and I stayed home and didn't do a lot. I think only one of the people who reads this has been to our new house, but, for those of you who haven't, we have trees in our yard. The rodeo is back in town. Main Street is closed, there's PBR (that's Professional Bull Riding) every night, and the Courts are on skeleton crew. None of us have really been doing 100% work this week. It's like a semi-working vacation for everyone to get caught up on all of their cases. Good for everyone.
