So, my family is finally together in Bend. I can't believe I lived without my family for a month. Looking back, which was just a couple of weeks ago, it seems so foreign. Two weeks ago, Miles and I moved into an empty house. On Saturday, I drove back to the Pen and then drove a massive uHaul with all of our crap in it back to Bend. This weekend, we finally got the living and baby's room straightened out, and made serious progress on our closet. We took pictures, cuz it's the cleanest the living room is ever going to be. Next weekend, if we don't drive up to collect our cat, which we hope we do, we'll tackle the bedroom and the guest room/office. We have a great sense of accomplishment.
On Friday, they came and gave us cable and the internet, so I have LJ and facebook access again. It's odd to think that, in my spare time, the only things I did were listen to OPB and read.
Miranda is in swimming class twice a week, and it makes her tired. On Saturday, I went with Michelle to the pool to see what the baby's learned. She's very cute. She's started falling asleep in her carseat and napping through shopping trips and the distance from the car to her crib.
I've started reading "Of Human Bondage". I've started marking the pages in older novels/stories that have turns of phrases that I like, either because they're particularly descriptive or are archaic in an classic way. I think this will take a while because I've been falling asleep early.
Cheers,
MT
