Moving in
So, I've been living at the new place for, about 3 weeks? Dunno. I'm getting used to it. It's a lot like living back at my place behind Bullwinkle's in Tally. Lonely, but there're people that I'm aware live around here. I've been working on music, playing games. The usual.
The ordeal of living here has brought me to buy several things. Like a TV for instance. I bought an LCD TV because I could. The sound on it actually removes the need for an actual sound receiver. That's pretty awesome, IMO. I hooked up my laptop by HDMI and have been watching HD stuff on Hulu. It looks pretty awesome. Like... really awesome. It's in my bedroom.
My computer is in the other bedroom. Yes, there're 2 bedrooms. I bought a nice glass desk. It's a bit small, smaller than the one I had at colony club, but effective. I won't have room for studio monitor speakers, though. This is a downer. However, I think I'll be okay with that since the acoustics in this room are terrible to begin with. It's tiled... so the sound isn't absorbed by anything... just bounces around the room a ton.
So, you ask, what's in the living room? Nothing. Well, actually currently there're my shoes and socks from yesterday. But, that's it. I guess the window blinds if you want to be technical about it. The kitchen is nice, large enough for me to cook well. Has the washer/dryer in the kitchen in a little... hovel? I think that's the word. I had to buy my own washer/dryer, though. Kind of a pain... but it worked out.
As far as work goes, I start working on the floor in about 12 hours. I've been in orientation and such for a while. Ready to get working. I need the cash, and, hopefully, I can put in some overtime or float to other floors. That'd be nice. I can't wait to start working.
I'm learning the town, too. I've learned to get around. I've also managed to find 3 Wal-Marts. 3 Best Buys. 3 Chili's. A PF Chang's. A Guitar Center. Olive Garden. 2 Targets. I think I've found all the shopping I'll need, I think. Though PF Chang's I should probably cross off the list... but at least there's one here. It gives me an idea of how small this place isn't.
My sleep schedule is weird. Not that I hate it. I'm a night person, for some reason. I'll be asleep at 8 or 9 AM... which is weird. I'll be up again at 5PM. Again... weird.
Anyway, I'm gettin' ready for bed since it's like... 7AM...
