You throw insults at him the entire ride, because you don’t want him there. But his brief stint as a fashion-disaster-vigilante has given him muscles on top of his selective hearing; he manhandles you to your check-up.
You feel like shit, yes, but it’s a sad fact of your sorry life that pain isn’t exactly a new experience for you. Even this kind, that leaves you as good as dead. You drop into a chair in the waiting lounge, him next to you. You think that you’d take a swing at him if he fucking tries to hold your hand.
