When he feels the tell-tale beginnings at the back of his throat, he does his best to stop it. Bites his tongue. Pinches himself. Reaches for his coffee mug, though he knows that he emptied it an hour ago, and what’s he going to do anyway, drown himself?
Brian, to his abject horror, feels his jaw stretching, diaphragm expanding, lungs yanking in a big balloon of air.
In other words, he yawns.
Fuck. That’s it. It’s started. Fucking body didn’t even wait to hit the big 3-0. It’s four in the afternoon, and he’s fucking yawning.

True, the post-presentation fuck with the pretty married man had been rather vigorous, but Brian has had more extraneous days. More extraneous mornings.
Speaking of which... Oh, yes. Last night. And this morning. That kid. (He still can’t believe he’d taken him to the hospital. And dropped him off at school.) Talk about insatiable. Best ass he’s had in a while.
A lesser man would probably not have even made it to work after a night like that.
Brian bites his lip, feels the corners of his mouth twitching upwards, and shouts for Cynthia to get him a triple-shot espresso.
