You see, the problem about getting yourself involved in the World Cup is that you inevitably get emtionally invested in a team. For me the teams are Germany, Japan, Netherlands and Switzerland.
So it always hurt extra bad when a team you love don't make it. ;_;
That said, I still think the Swiss team is on their way up - they may have defeated Spain, lost to Chile, and by extension, will have to go home, but I think the team overall, is improving nonetheless. (IE: Compared to 2006, when they had to go home without any goals.) So I have high hopes for Switzerland. Also, considering they were only playing with 10-men (Behrami got sent off in the first half), it was pretty impressive they held on so long. They remind me of the Mannschaft, somewhat.
It's still a bummer though. (Benaglio. ;_;)
PS: Chile, with all the yellow cards you guys were given, do you even have enough to field a team against Spain?
