(no subject)
Well, hello Friday night.
The last part of Men Enough was posted a few hours ago. Links to all sections can be found here. Again, many thanks to deadspeaker and sappylilartpunk for beta-ing this for me, and many, many thanks to everyone who put up with my rambling/raving/ranting, and many, many, many thanks to everyone who commented on it.
Okay. That's done. Wow.
My little sister has a friend over spending the night. It's been noisier than normal (and we've had a few things fall off of shelves, but nothing's broken), but at least she's occupied with someone else and not trailing all over me, as she was last night. Zombies still rock, I may have to revisit, er, them. Whisky-laced coffee is still the best drink ever invented, partly because it's damned pretty, partly because, hello, whisky and coffee? Two wonderful things, in one easy-to-drink combination? Exactly.
Work today was ridiculously stupid. We've had calmer days in the middle of tax season. I have no idea what I did for nine hours today; I think I got stuff done, but you wouldn't know it looking at my desk. And fuck me but I don't want to go back to work ever again. I want to move. To Kansas. I have red shoes -- do you think if I click the heels together, they'll move me there? This could be an interesting experiment, but I probably won't have the guts to try it until I have several more cups of coffee.
Any of you have interesting plans for the weekend? I've been doing character sketches and background research for my NaNo (which, yes, I realise makes me a little over-achieving or whatever, but shut up), and I'll probably be working on those at some point, or maybe even the SoB Crit stuff. So. Hit me up. Plans? Parties? People? Laying in bed all day? Turning vampire?
