I had this long, thought-out post planned about accents and my collecting them, and the Irish flatmates I had for a year and how my hard-won Midwest US accent has been slipping this past week in favour of the Belfast(ian?) accent, but I've forgotten how it went, so take that as a summary. In other news, I bought two pairs of boots tonight, but ( Read more... )

Yes, the first bit of Men Enough is up! I am so thankful to be getting this one posted and done with so I can MOVE ON already! And hey, FI-verse will be around for a while. No doubt I'll return to it after NaNo.

doofus should be used more often in casual conversation. it's too good a word to be neglected

I completely concur. I also advocate the use of the plural, 'doofi.'

Hi! I tripped over your fic and you trying to find myself a niche in the Supernatural fandom. I've been on the internet and around fandoms since '94. I started seriously with The Sentinel, moved on to Mag 7 where you can still find me deeply entranced. I also like Criminal Minds, but I have falled hard for Supernatural. In the past I've written for TS and others, even fanzines(perhaps my age is showing?) More recently I've been writing for Mag7. Bi-fictional I love h/c and angst.

I particularly like what I've read of yours and Magyra's so far. I friended you - I hope that's ok and hope you'll friend me back. I'm pretyy new to live journal. Still getting my feet wet and used to the whole thing. I'm not as young as a lot of users so it might take me a while longer :) Andy Supernatural suggetions for a newbie?

Thanks for writing and sharing,
PF

Hi PF! I'm always up for new friends, and have already friended you back! Be prepared to listen to me whine, rant, ramble, and just generally be halfway-insane and waste everyone's time. *Grin* Anytime you need any help with LJ-ish-stuff, feel free to ask, I've been around almost five years now (not necessarily in organised fandoms, but on LJ).

The SPN fandom around these parts is amazingly laid-back and most everyone is fun and wonderful. I've never enjoyed being a fandom this much before, ever!

Some definite recs if you're looking around for awesome fic:

poisontaster and mona1347 are fantastic writers which I fangirl like crazy. PT has a fic-central post here, and definitely give it a whirl.

deadspeaker writes awesome reviews of each episode and is just generally a wonderful person, and researchgrrrl is one of the best meta-writers around.

There's just so many wonderful people and writers in this fandom; kittyfisher, xantissa, and phantisma write a lot of the more hardcore fics, moveablehistory wrote one of the best Stanford-era fics I've ever read ( here), and sanyin is the queen of cross-over fics. I guess, just ( ... )
