Just Want To Get In The Good Vibrations...
I was tagged twice on facebook for the 16 things About Me meme, so I figured I'd experiment a bit with importing from various websites. It also saves me doing it twice haha
Info: 16 Random Facts About Me
1. I'm extremely picky about things being aligned and matching. I can spend hours finding the exact right alignment for a paragraph, and I feel really down if my underwear doesn't match what I'm wearing on top. I like all my books covers (for series and whatnot) to match and can get extremely agitated when they don't. I'm not too fussed on hard/soft cover differences, but I feel so much better if they all come from the same design set.
2. I collect erasers. I don't know why, but I have about thirty different one of various shapes, sizes and, smells. I'll always be fond of the little phone eraser that has a base that doubles as a sharpener. Coolest thing ever.
3. Once I like something, it's hard for me to let go. It's letting go a piece of me. I can get over something, or someone and very little importance on it, but there will always be a part of me that latches on tight, even if the wee little finger it's holding on by is being stamped on with biker boots. It accounts from the amount of clutter in my room and my seemingly flighty, bouncing love affairs.
4. I'm pretty sure I would need an extra two arms to wear all my bracelets, three necks and about a dozen ears in order to wear all my jewellery. I have three "necklace stands" (as if my candlestick isn't the coolest thing ever), two large earring racks, three overfilled bracelets thingys, two jewellery boxes, two tins, one bag, four small mannequins and countless filled boxes. My mother also has some of my more expensive jewellery packed away somewhere.
5. If that weren't enough, I have a drawer and a large cookie tin full of hair accessories, both stocking numerous amounts of assorted clips, headbands, pins & ribbon. I can never find what I need.
6. I don't like "text language" or 133t. I refuse to use more then the very basic ("u" substituted for "you", "4" substituted for "for" etc.) and only when I'm rushed for time and lazy. I personally find it a horrific raping of the English language. Only very occasionally is it clever and rarely used correctly. Especially when you write a word that has the exact same amount of letters that is would use to write normally. It just make you look like a jackass.
7. I'm distressed that Orlando is engaged. He's making a big mistake...he hasn't met me yet! Poor thing.
8. My dad brought me back Russian playing cards. They're not very different.
9. I don't wear gold. I don't like yellow, not matter how shiny and I actually find it kind of tacky (on me anyway). I've grown up seeing it used to show what a bourgeois society we live in and I can't stand to wear it. I buy things because they're pretty or have sentimental value, not because I want to show off.
10. Even though music is very important in this life, I feel it has always been important to me, no matter the stage. It's just that connected to my body and never far from my thoughts. No one has helped me grow and learn more then music. It's beyond the just the lyrical, or the base sound it's the sound and how it makes you feel.
11. If I could, I would totally have ice three times a day, with different toppings every time. Mostly vanilla. I love vanilla, it's so basic and so beautiful.
12. I thought water was normally bland, then I had my Dad's water. The real meaning of "nothing". It's not bland, it's not fresh...it literally tastes like "nothing". I like water that way. At least I know it's clean.
13. I'm superstitious. More then the usual person, but not crazy. I think it may have something to do with church, my history love and my fanatical interest in the supernatural. I don't like the number 13, 1 or 3. I usually try to have really easy days on days that fall on such dates (especially Fridays) and refuse to look away from clocks until they turn to a "normal" number. I don't even like it when it's a 1.02 because 1 + 2 = 3. It's just bad luck and I'm not particuarly fond of that. I like curves because it's harder for "bad things" to cross (ever wonder why a Chinese garden has no straight paths?).
14. Yes, I have tried the "boob" lollies from work. I didn't really like them, I don't really like boiled sweets unless there's peppermint involved. I'll eat pretty much anything with mint.
15. I'm really surprised I managed to get this far and not list anything that's on my 116 Things About Me List. That being said, this is a pretty sad list of randominities. I feel a bit sorry for it.
16. is my favourite number and I always break out into a smile when I see it. It's good luck. I had the best year so far when I turned 16. I'm not quite sure why I like the number 16, but I like the sound, I like 6's, 6 + 1 is 7 (the luckiest number) and I suppose because I was born on the 16th (though my birthday, is the only 16 in the whole year that I think is cursed to be bad luck. Birthdays are bad).
