Just downloaded the Sera Myu La Reconquista soundtrack! I loved the music in this musical. There where a few song I didn’t care for, particularly the villains.. But, I never really care for the villain songs. I always skipped them when watching my old Anza VHS’s. Anyway, I’m so glad they kept the same music styling of the older musicals. One of my favorite things as a child was when they would all sing a song and sing the verses over one another. Does that explain it correctly? Either way, I always thought it sounded so beautiful!
And can I just take a minute to say how much I love this cast? They reminded me a lot of the girls they cast in PGSM. And seriously. PGSM is literally my biggest guilty pleasure. I love that silly show with all my heart. I actually started rewatching it last night. The actress for Venus (Shiori Sakata) reminds me a lot of PGSM’s Ayaka Komatsu. In my opinion they have the same kind of voice. I also really loved Satomi Okubo! She was so adorable as Usagi. She wasn’t the strongest singer, but definitely made up for it in charm.
I’m really hopping this musical did good enough for them to do a Kaiteiban within the next few months. Either that or continue with the next season. I mean, everyone seems to love this thing! It would be silly for them to not continue with it, right?
