[Once upon a time She would have cast out such a disobedient child but She knows that he's not Hers to punish and God has learned forgiveness over the millenia. She knows of Castiel's plans - of the outcome so She doesn't need it spoken when he asks for forgiveness. An unreadable look crosses Her face and She speaks. Her Voice is powerful - capable of creating and destroying the entire world in a single instant.]

You chose a path you know is wrong due to an absent Father. The blame is not entirely yours, My son.

[ He hadn't expected it. Which is only more proof as to why he's not ready for what's to come, isn't it? Her Voice is so very overwhelming, and it might hurt a little to look up into her face, but Castiel has to. He can't just cower away from such a generous gift -- who is he to tell Her that She should cast him out? ]

You once searched for Me, Castiel but I never truly left you. I always watch over My children. I simply gave you the freedom you never had when I was around. [Now She knows that She's not really his God but She had a good idea of what He's thinking.] For all your age and power you were like young children clinging to the hem of a mother's dress. What He did was like pushing you out of the nest before you were ready to fly and He failed to catch you when you fell.
