I'm in Bandung! We're preparing our presentation for the ICYS, it's really interesting about the pentatonic scale in Sundanese (Western Java) music. It had never been standardised, unlike the A - 440 hz, so basically that's what we're doing.
Isan is here, my young scientist friend with a high social quotion, she's so much fun to be with. She asked me questions about Brazil, so I showed her the video in Caxambu with Veronica, Rodrigo, and I dancing on the stage in the town's harvest festival. I hadn't seen that video in a while, well I kinda miss Rodrigo, how's that guy doing, I wonder.
Maybe I'll just do Music Theory and Composition in college? Physics is fine, and chemistry is great, but I don't think that school is giving me a strong enough basis to do any of these subjects. I hate physics at school, in fact I skipped a class yesterday. I'm sure I'll be hearing about it tomorrow, when a teacher's going to present my mid-semester report card to my parents.
That's the thing. With these people (the kids specially trained in physics to compete in the International Physics Olympiad and their trainers), Physics makes sense again. Not just mere formulaes and weird numbers I have to memorise at school. *big sigh* They're on the advanced level though. And so I'm still the kid who dislikes the subject.
Anyway, I've finished The Amber Spyglass, the last book in Philip Pullman's trilogy His Dark Materials. It was a satisfying reading, totally recommended! I think I'm gonna re-read The Neverending Story after this =D
