Media Muddle

While he had failed to reply to Remus' entry about the escalating assaults on Muggles with filial connections to the wizarding world, Regulus had not failed to read it.

Currently his black locks concealed his face as he perused a number of recent publications he had culled minutes earlier from the Slytherin Common Room. One was blatantly superficial, interesting only to the similarly flawed. Another seemed to be a poorly concealed adult novel, though it could easily have been a poorly executed adult publication that happened to be easily mistaken for a poorly written work of news due to its distinct lack of content.

The third publication was rumpled, slightly dirty... but far more useful. It was missing the first three pages, but- it had an editorial section devoted to the issue Remus had raised. Cramped text and slowly moving images revealed a view far more sympathetic and supportive of the acts than Black could have foreseen or expected... except possibly at his own home.

Regulus' face tightened a little as he shuffled the varied pieces into a pile and took them up in his left hand. Quickly he left the comfort of the dormitory, placing the disgusting and disturbing documents upon the floor as he sank heavily into a couch. His shoulders were slightly bowed as he leaned back and closed his eyes in deep thought.
