The professional is a working stiff -- hmm.

Oh well -- here we are again. Ron is working from home and I have finished my spate of knitting for the day. I got a hurry-up commission from a co-worker friend for a shawl for her sister. So my fingers are tired, but I am now more than 1/3 done with this assignment.

Voltaire was a kick to attend -- see red_ronin9's entry to check out the pictures. Yep, even without the top hat, I think I looked pretty charming. If I could only get over my fear of dark lipstick ....

Shout out to whulfdan -- Happy Birthday, Man!

I shall not be going to Wichita next week, which is something of a relief. My buddy informs me that she will be spending the days recovering in solitude. Not unlike myself when I'm not well.

The subject line is my paraphrase from something Ron read to me this morning. Doing something well requires that you put effort into it consistently. This is true -- I don't always like to do my routine, but it is better for me in the long run to do the work. At the end of the day, I know that I have done something useful for others and I reap some satisfaction that I am working towards one of my goals.

I could go on -- but it might be uninteresting to some....

fiber, birthdays, friends, work
