While I have been letting the dust accumulate in my blog, things have happened. I turned fifty -- which was stranger than I thought it would be, sent off my boss to Portland, acquired another one, bought a new (still not yet running)scooter, helped friends move and found out that my eyes may have a problem.
After a year of ongoing struggle with depression, doc finally changed my anti-depressants, prescribed another drug to lower my cholestrol, and another still to take care of the hot flashes I'd been dealing with off and on. On the up side -- I did get some very nice stuff for my birthday including a visit from some dear friends that I don't get to see nearly often enough.
Work continues to be the enjoyable activity it has always been. Now that I'm a bit better balanced with the new meds, I'm recovering some of my usual cheeryness when on the job. Last year was a big learning experience -- biggest of all; Depression Sucks and I'm so relieved to have most of the worst effects behind me. MS still makes summer a pain -- no heat tolerance! I can't wait for cooler weather so I can actually do things outdoors.
On the other hand, I am taking more of an interest in doing things for myself and around the house. There are times when I just get tired out, but it is more often physical than emotional/mental as time goes on. Among those things I'm interested in -- making stuff for my various projects and responsibilities.
