Two Tiny Trips

I haven't updated in a little while, which is something I can attribute to both busy-ness and laziness, including a few subsets of said laziness, such as the fact that I spent some time getting my shaman in WoW to level 80 and decided to replay Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, a game that I tend to replay every few years or so just because it's ( Read more... )

Those both sound like fun trips, especially the trip to Cedar Point! I'm really glad and slightly envious that you had such good weather for your trip. 82 degrees is perfect for a summer outing, but unfortunately for us, weather like that is something we can only daydream about here, while glaring at the upper-90-degrees weather outside. It's really good that you and James share the same preferences about roller coasters, too. Amusement parks are so much more fun when you can go on the same rides together, instead of having one person waiting all the time for the other person riding by themselves.

I like the idea of a day-long road trip somewhere close by as well. On the East Coast, we definitely have a much easier time doing that, as many nice cities are only a few hours away by train. Like you said, it's always good to go somewhere new, though I have to admit I'd never heard of Fort Wayne before. (At least, I think I haven't.)

Hehe, I had a similar experience at a Japanese restaurant in Cincinnati. Not only did they have a Kenshin poster on one wall, with Kauro and Kenshin, but they also played a L'Arc-en-Ciel song while we were eating. It was pretty interesting. I'm not surprised you two recognized some of their music too, considering how much more J-pop and anime music you and Greg have heard. I guess I should just be surprised it doesn't happen more often when you eat out at Japanese restaurants. :)
