Out of the mouths of babes...
*spent the past week watching the Lord of the Rings Trilogy with the oddsprings, who were suitably enthralled*
*Today, after long, tiring day, sat down to watch a bit of a cooking show*
*Chef is 'de-veining' shrimp*
Me: That's not a vein, that's the creature's nervous system.
Suddenly, a high-pitched voice pipes up--(Precious!Dragon, attempting a Gimli impression): My knife is embedded in its nervous system!
*pause a beat*
*hubbypuff & I burst out laughing*
Hubbypuff: You've GOT to go post that one.
Have I mentioned lately that I love my kids?
(P.S. I know this does not make sense unless you are meticulously familiar with every detail of the Lord of the Rings films. That did not lessen my need to share)
*returns to much-needed rest*
