In the meantime, can someone in Eagle fandom PLEASE tell me there's an AU being written SOMEWHERE where Marcus stays in Britain after the Romans have all withdrawn? (Yes this totally changes the period - hence the AU part.) So we can have moments where Marcus is telling a story about Rome/his homeland and his voice will get all wistful, and Esca will feel bad and guilty, and then the next day Marcus has completely forgotten about it, but Esca just carries this small feeling of guilt around that he made Marcus abandon his home for him, but when he finally brings it up Marcus is just like "What are you talking about? You are far more important to me than Rome."
BECAUSE I WANT IT SO BAD.
