hey! i saw your post in Erika's journal. here is some info i posted in my journal a while back:

i live in Baton Rouge and the scene for original music really sucks ass here. most people are more interested in hearing cover bands and tribute bands than hearing original musicians pouring out their souls. it is really quite pathetic. being an aspiring original artist, this situation pisses me the fuck off. anyway, some friends of mine have started a local web site dedicated to supporting original music in Baton Rouge. the site is maintained by local musicians who don't recieve a dime for any of this. they are in need of a LOGO. go here for more info:

the old site logo for original music in Baton Rouge was simple yet effective. the logo had the name of the web site and a crappy picture of a guitar. the logo was put on shirts, stickers, web links, and crap like that. it was also on the intro page to the forum. if you want to see the old LOGO go here (it is the small logo under the name and address of the bar):

so this is what is needed: some type of pictographic logo with the name of the site. the name of the site is www.BatonRougeRocks.com. you can probably leave out the www. smaller is probably better because the logo will be used in small spaces. i would think something like a 2" X 2" square is a good guideline. or you can make something big and shrink it down. use your best judgment. a computer design is probably better, but something by hand might work if you can scan it and put it in a digital form. and don't sign your name on it unless you are Picasso or something. i will make sure whoever's design is used gets credit. anything i have left out is up to you.

you will not be paid for your work, but several hundred people will see this over the course of the next few months. and i could probably talk them into putting your name or a link to your site on the intro page under your logo. so you will get some noteriety.
