I am still alive. I started Grad school last week (for my MA in English Literature) and have been quite busy. Today is the first day I've even looked at LJ in a week. I've had an enormous amount of reading to do and have had little time for anything else. I had hoped to work on my story this weekend, but things did not work out that way.There were days this week when I didn't even turn my computer on at all.
On top of that, we may be looking at Hurricane Isaac either hitting New Orleans, or hitting close enough that it may be an issue. Hopefully, it stays a Category 2 storm and doesn't gain strength in the warm waters of the Gulf. Bleh. The expected landfall date is the 29th--which is the Katrina anniversary--so people are a bit nervous. If it stays a Category 2 or lower, I doubt we'll evacuate, which means stocking up on water and nonperishable food. Either way, it's a huge hassle and disruption, not to mention a financial hardship.
Anyway, I hope you all are well and I will catch up on updates when I can. :)
