SO I MADE A POST ON MY FACEBOOK ABOUT FACTS PETA HAD ON THEIR WEBSITE AND I GOT A DISPUTER. I THINK THEIR CONCERNS ARE WORTH ANSWERING AND MY RESPONSE IS WORTH READING. IF ARE MY FRIEND, YOU WOULD KNOW WHERE I STAND AND TAKE A FEW MOMENTS OUT OF YOUR DAY TO JUST READ THIS, PLEASE. CONCERN ON HOW YOU EFFECT THE ENVIORNMENT- WHICH EVERYONE LIVES IN SO YOU SHOULD CARE. TAKE IN CONSIDERATION HOW OTHERS FEEL, THEIR NEEDS, AND WANTS AND THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING YOU CAN DO, WHY ARE YOU SITTING AROUND? EVERYONE WANTS A GOOD LIFE RIGHT? SOMETIMES THEY FOCUS ON THE WRONG THING, OR THEY DO NOT REALLY KNOW WHAT THEY WANT. THE ENVIORNMENT. THAT EFFECTS EVERYONE SO DO YOUR PART. RECYCLE, REDUCE, & REUSE!

im gonna have to dispute these facts. i think Peta might be one of those organizations that just materializes data. i could be wrong though.
Energy
Raising animals for food requires more than one-third of all raw materials and fossil fuels used in the United States
This seems a little off to me. I can't imagine this industry using one third of all th materials and fossil fuels.. I mean you have industries like... the fossil fuel industry =P. Airlines, Manufacturing plants, etc that thrive off of putting away massive amounts of raw materials every day.
Pollution
The meat industry causes more water pollution in the United States than all other industries combined. More than 10 billion animals are raised and killed for food every year in the U.S. alone; they have to eat and their waste has to go somewhere
Dont they eat plants? Which is what PETA is encouraging us to eat. And also, isn't there waste also known as fertilizer? The stuff that helps plants grow that they sell in the overprices colorful bags at Home Depot? =P
I'm not tryin to rip on you Monica, I just think there are a lot of organizations, eg. PETA who misrepresent facts in order to persuade you towards their opinions.

Peta is definetly an extreme and overdramatic but isnt everything. I used their facts to prove a point of mine. I guess I can't mention peta ever caused everyone hates them. All their information isn't bad. I dont believe everything I hear. I am not even vegetarian. Those numbers maybe be off, but there is definetly a problem here. Weather is a third or not isnt really the issue, its is a large number. I dont know it but I do know that there is a hell of alot more poop that millions of cows, chickens, and whtever else we eat than there is in fertilizer at Home Depot. Most of it is not reused. It contaminates surrounding communities drinking water, contaminates rivers, lakes and streams killing fish. Huge industrail factories of animals in one place is just not natural. Eatting animals is fine with me. If they are not caged, given antibiotics that are going to go into my body, tourtured, and if they have to be in a factory than there does need to be better clean up methods of all the waste. If even 90% of it was bagged up nicely to be reused in your little gardens at home. That would make me much happier. Where is it now, is not acceptable. No mater what bad wrap Peta has they are right. Maybe not to the right degree but they are not making up the issue. They just elaborate the facts. Just like politicians, our governments, corporate industries, television, you name it. Im sure you know that. Also Greenpeace is another one of those companies. They bring awareness to alot of good issues, but they don't always handle things the way they should, they get carried away. Those organizations get mad, frustrated and do stupid things doesn't mean they should be ignored completly. I read things about both sides. Industies know its not ok how they function, that is why they are changing, little by little. That is why we all have lovely great minds to determine truth from reality and gather information from multiple sources and opposing viewpoints. I'm always out there to find the truth, the real facts. If you have some disputes about what I think don't be shy to say. I don't mind you responding. You don't have to agree. I like disscussing it and hearing what other people think. I have an open mind. Thanks for responding. Anything is better than nothing. I would rather you be full against me than to just sit there and wonder, not learn anymore about the issue, and complain about how things are and never do anything. I put that out there to make people think about it and come to their own conclusion.
