[For Pandora] Second Interview with the Vampire
Most days, Cathy is busy preparing her next writing class, or teaching it, and working on printing and binding her next book. But in the evening, she has a few hours free in which to curl up with a book and expand her horizons.
She's found a highly scientific trio of vampire novels, which has caught her attention and has been keeping her on the edge of her wing chair these early autumn evenings. The creatures involved are at the opposite extreme from the romantic, brooding creatures she usually reads about: she's aware of the vampire as monster school of thought, but this is one of the more extreme and even cringe-inducing portrayals that she's run across. Also, there is a good deal more medical information than she's accustomed to, and so she has a medical dictionary within arm's reach as she reads.
Late one evening, she might be in need of a diversion from this unusual and truly horrid text...
