Now that she has been at the Mansion for nearly a month, Catherine feels she is established at the Mansion. She has even fallen into somewhat of a routine, albeit one that would appall her mother and Mrs. Allen. When she isn't roaming the hallways, feeling the walls and rapping about for a hidden door leading to a secret room or a mysterious passageway, she's been reading in the library or the main room. She's also been staying up to all hours of the night, readig, and waking at noon.
She's since finished reading the book which the scholarly young man had found for her, and she's started on a thick book with a picture of a pair of hands clasping a red apple. The glossy texture of the dust jacket alone surprises her, and the contents are no less marvelous and scandalous: a tale of wonders including carriages that propel themselves and schools where boys and girls study side by side, though these pale by comparison to the love story between a simple girl from the Former Colony of Arizona and a mysterious, golden eyed stranger.
She's rather wrapped up in reading it, as she sits curled up on a couch in the library, and she might not take notice initially, should someone approach her...
Primarily intended for Fuschia, but feel free to nudge the typist if you'd like to punt someone else at her.
