Oh gosh, thank you thank you for the early update! It was stellar as usual. For some reason I smiled when Gus got a strawberry-banana smoothie - it's just such a *Gus* flavor. Loved the interaction between Shawn and Henry, too. The way Shawn talks to his father here is just right for both a rebellious teen and someone who's being conditioned and getting old enough to recognise it and how screwed up it is. I am simultaneously grateful to USA for providing us with such messed-up characters, and to you for knowing just what to do with them.

Thank you! I had to channel by inner-rebellious teen to write that scene but I was pleased with it -- glad it ran true with you, too. I love that Shawn is so broken (Henry, too) because it makes the lightest of the show even more bittersweet. The fact that everyone doesn't see the depth in these characters surprises me time and again.
