If I may, Sir Ephraim, a victory or a loss is only held in the eyes of the beholder. Both of you, are impeccable with your speech. I find it rather... without methodical point for competitions.

Thank you for your kind words, Lady Elice. But please don't take our competition too seriously. It's become a sort of tradition for both myself and Innes, a relic from our childhood if you will.

It is childish, isn't it? But from my vantage point, our rivalry motivates each other to grow and become better than we would have been otherwise. So far, I think it has been working. My speech was probably the best work that I've accomplished yet here at the university.

Childish, with charm, I did neglect to add. You are correct. It will better you both in ways that one without a rivalry cannot understand fully. I am included in such. I have no rival that would serve as a challenge.
