It takes a bit longer for some eggs to hatch for some reason. There's no need to worry.

It does? Maybe that's it, then. Someone gave me this egg to care for, so I've been worrying that I'm doing it wrong.

If you've been taking care of both eggs the same way, I'm sure you've done nothing wrong. The Vulpix egg did hatch already, after all. [And what a cute Vulpix there is.] Some of my own eggs have taken around a week to hatch.
