[The camera is in the girl's quarters on board the Thousand Sunny, pointed straight at the door. The door opens, and you see Vivi dressed in this shirt, her hair in bunches carefully positioned at an identical height around her face

Yes, just something to pass the time while we're at sea. I'm thinking of asking Brook-san for flute lessons, and I might buy some art pencils at the next island we stop at, too.
Oh. If it's pencils, you can use some of mine! I have plenty of them! I didn't know you liked to draw too, Vivi!
...haha. I still have no idea how Brook can play the flute with no lips. But...that's probably just one of those things that I shouldn't think too hard about.
Thanks! I used to draw a lot, but I haven't for quite a long time now. It's the same with music - I'd like to pick up where I left off while I have the opportunity.
That actually never occured to me. I'll have to watch him carefully during our lessons and try to figure it out.
You can borrow some art stuff from me anytime, if you want! Maybe we can even draw together sometime, or something! I'd like to see what your art looks like, Vivi!
Haha! Well, if you find something out, let me know.
I'd like to draw together very much. I haven't got any of my old drawings with me, but if I draw something good then you'll be the first person I show. ...It's ironic in a way, because I used to draw all sorts of landscapes of what I thought other islands must look like. Now I can draw the places I visit and make a record of it, instead.
I hadn't thought of a scrapbook! That's a lovely idea.
Yes, they've always been my favourite type of art both to draw and to look at. I think it's partly just because I love learning about different places so much, and I love being able to look at a landscape and mentally put myself right there in the picture.
Definitely. I should start to collect bits and pieces from the islands we visit to put in it, too.
People are probably the best things to draw. To be able to capture a moment in time, especially of a person that's important to you, is what art should be about.

I usually like drawing people most, I guess, but landscapes are nice. Animals too!
