SIGH
So I went back to the hairdresser today. He seemed really into "layering" it maybe because i went in with natural hair.
My hair is kind of like this lady's, except with looser waves at the top and thicker ringlets towards the ends, also longer. Oh and frizzier, way frizzier.
I am really grateful most of the time for naturally curly hair but the problem is that most hairdressers have no fucking clue what to do with it. For this reason I tend to avoid them as they have a history of royally screwing up my haircuts.
He seemed really intent on straightening it and working from there, I told him I do not straighten my hair and to consider that when cutting it, as it gains 2-3 inches length when straightened that just bounces up when curly. So he started trimming the back, all good so far. He moves to the front and does that thing where they pinch the hair between the fingers to trim a tiny part off... THEN MOVES HIS HANDS UP A GOOD FOUR INCHES AND CUTS FROM THERE. great. So now I have this retarded "Rachel" hairdo"...
Except way less neat and finished, I have 2 short parts at the front, going to chin level, then it just goes straight to long in the back (no graduations in length), and I mean long to butt length, not shoulder length like above. Not cool man. It looks like I got hair extensions or something.
This is the closest pic I could find to what I actually got. Sure, it looks awesome with gorgeous sleek, straight hair at a medium length. However, my hair is at least 6 inches longer than that, and most importantly, NOT EVERY FUCKING PERSON IN THE WORLD STRAIGHTENS THEIR HAIR. What kind of nutter would do this to my hair?
