i may have found a cobbler in london. my current preferred cobbler is in amsterdam. the new one seems like he knows his shit but we'll see what the quality of the work will be.
my local pub has been completely screwed with. it used to be a proper east-end pub, with a naval jack, with a smelly couch, with pictures of random shit like old french car ads and other adverts for gasoline and so. people did not care about the decoration much. it was good.
now it has been subjected to an attempt at poshing it up. lame pictures of old maps and gothic churches sketches, lots of fake (?) books displayed. it is all very out of place. the barmaid is checking facefook(tm). it's as if somebody read the let's posh up the pub for idiots book. and they have ads for sambuca shots and spritzers and other drinks. sambuca in a public house??
but at least they seem to have cask ale all the time in this new order.
i shall go play r-type now.
