Julia, I need to get you in for an interview - this weekend if possible. That is if you're still interested. I'll give you the county paperwork to fill out. I also need your social security card and your license. The position is for an education intern. You would be my assistant in education. You'd learn everything possible about the animals and marine life in general. My staff and I would train you. The job would start in about a week - as soon as the paperwork was filled out and processed. It would be 17.5 hours until the summer (May) and then it would go to 40 hours a week until the end of Aug (I think). I'm trying to get it full time but that probably wouldn't happen until October. It pays $9 but I'd like to eventually get that raised too. It's a great way to get your foot in the door with the county while learning a lot about animals. You'd be doing a lot of administrative stuff too. Processing paperwork, writing signage, maintaining the lab, and working with school groups and then camps in the summer. The position would require somewhat of a regular schedule - probably Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. However, if there's a big program on a Wednesday, I'd ask you to switch your schedule. I'd give you the same flexibility if you had something going on. During the summer weeks of camp there really isn't flexibility but on the off weeks there certainly is. There are a lot of out-door activities in the summer. I'll explain more when I see you.
i got two job offers at once :( this shit is ridiculous.
