I really want
to like the 'new girl' on five-o. I do. But I don't.
I think it's because it all seems so forced. Her character was forced on the team by the Governor (and I'm confused about that. . . is he still the Lt. Governor? Has he officially become the Governor? I can't tell), and it feels like she's been forced on the show to act as some sort of buffer for the McGarrett/Danno bromance. I'm hoping that's not the case, because their relationship and the ohana bond with Chin and Kono are what makes the show so compelling. The whole 'McGarrett needs a love interest and so does Danno so let's write them some girlfriends' vibe I'm getting is disappointing. I'm sure (I hope???) there's some character development coming for the Lori character, but we're two eps in to Season 2 and I'm still trying to figure out how Danny ended up in bed with Rachel last season.
Thank god for fanfiction, or else these gaping plot holes would never get resolved.
