You can, but you won't. You will continue to overwork yourself until your body gives you no choice in the matter and you collapse. This will weaken your immune system and worsen your illness so it takes more time and care to recover from. You will be able to help more people more effectively if you rest now and offer aid after you've fought off the infection.
